Most Fields of Mistria lag after the 1.0 update is fixed by four steps: install patch v1.0.2, restart Steam and your PC, update your graphics driver, and test the in-game 60 FPS cap. No single setting fixes every system — work through the checks below one at a time so you can tell which change actually helped. If nothing works, NPC Studio says further optimization is still in progress.

Identify Your Symptom First

Don't judge results from the title screen. Load the same save, walk the same town or farm route for a few minutes, and compare camera motion, character speed, tearing, and input response.
