Fields of Mistria Voidite — Where to Mine & All Uses

Voidite in Fields of Mistria comes from exactly one place: the Ancient Ruins, floors 81–99 of the Mines, the game's fifth and final biome. You get it by breaking Voidite clusters, which only spawn once you have the Void Sight skill — so if you have reached the Ruins and see no purple crystals at all, the missing skill is the reason, not bad luck. Voidite is a core ingredient in the Void, Ruins, and Witch Queen furniture sets, in the Dragon-Forged Sword, and in the story quest "Expanding the Saturday Market".

How to Get Voidite

Voidite drops from Voidite clusters scattered through floors 81–99 of the Ancient Ruins, and the wiki explicitly notes that the clusters require Void Sight to spawn. Learn that skill first, then start your farming runs. The breakable debris in the Ruins can also drop Voidite: both Large Voidite and Small Voidite debris have roughly a 10% drop chance, so smash every purple rock you pass rather than only hunting the big clusters.

Reaching the Ancient Ruins at all requires deep story progress. The biome unlocks through "Breaking The Ruins Seal" at the bottom of the Lava Caves, and progressing further involves the quests "Find the Magic Key" and "Breaking The Final Seal". If you have not broken the Ruins seal yet, Voidite farming simply has to wait — there is no overworld or early-Mines source for it. The same floors also hide the biome's story landmarks, including the special Floor 90 chambers that house the Dragon Forge.

Two skills make farming noticeably more efficient once you have them. Material World doubles material drops from breakables in the Mines, and Void Value lets broken Voidite drop twice as much material. Together they can cut the number of Ruins runs you need for a big craft like the Dragon-Forged Sword nearly in half.

Surviving the Ancient Ruins

Each floor of the Ancient Ruins is shrouded in darkness when you first enter it. Mineable Mistril and certain monsters give off a small radius of light, as does your character, and each piece of Mistril equipment you wear increases that radius slightly. Alternatively, the Sacred Light spell lights a whole floor for 5 real-world minutes, and the effect continues when you switch floors until the timer runs out.

The Ruins are not peaceful. Floors 81–89 and 91–99 host Pink Saplings, Purple Flame Spirits, Flying Tomes, Living Gryphon Statues, Rock Stacks, and Void Cats, plus Mimics that only give their listed loot when fed. Purple Flame Spirits are worth hunting while you mine, since they drop Monster Cores about 30% of the time — another material you will want in bulk. Bring food, recovery items, and your best gear, and treat a Voidite run as a combat trip rather than a casual mining walk.

While you are down there, keep an eye out for the Ruins' other signature resources: Mistril Nodes (with a chance at Perfect Mistril Ore), Pink Diamond Nodes, Void Herbs (which also require Void Sight), and bugs like the Ancient Firefly. Combining all of these into one trip is far more efficient than single-resource runs.

What Voidite Is Used For

Voidite is tagged as a Material, sells for 20t, and can be donated to the Museum's Flora Wing as part of the Void Forage set — the Priestess even jokes about putting a protective shock barrier on the museum's piece. Beyond donation and gifting, Voidite shows up in a long list of recipes. The highlights:

Witch Queen BedWoodcrafting25
Void Lamp / Void Throne / Witch Queen ChairWoodcrafting20 each

The Dragon-Forged Sword is the single biggest Voidite sink: it takes Voidite ×50 plus Void Herb ×5, Void Pearl ×5, Void Powder ×5, and Void Stone ×5 at the Dragon Forge, and the finished sword — imbued with darkness — has a low insta-kill chance. If that weapon is your goal, stockpile Voidite on every Ruins run instead of spending it on furniture first.

Recipe sources vary by set. Most Void set recipes come from the Void Scroll Bundle granted by the Void Crafting skill. The Ruins set and Witch Queen set recipes come from the Ancient Ruins itself — some require the Reclaimer or Natural Beauty skills, and some are learned by feeding Mimics. The Witch Queen pieces are the most demanding: the Witch Queen Double Bed alone takes Voidite ×30 plus Refined Stone, Hard Wood, Monster Blocks, and Monster Whiskers.

A few individual recipes are worth singling out. The Void Bonsai (Voidite ×10, Void Herb ×5) sells for 380t and its recipe is tied to Flora Wing museum donations. The Ruins Crystal Light (Crystal ×5, Refined Stone ×5, Voidite ×8) glows pink when lit and sells for 440t. And the Void Fireplace (Voidite ×25, Monster Core ×5, Void Herb ×5, Void Stone ×5) is the centerpiece of the Void set at 990t. None of these are quick crafts — expect 20 to 40 minutes of craft time each and Woodcrafting levels in the 30s and 40s.

Quests That Need Voidite

Voidite is required to complete the story quest "Expanding the Saturday Market", so do not ship your whole stack before that quest is done. It is also requested in Juniper's request for Voidite, one of the town's request errands.

Outside of quests and crafting, Voidite can be given as a gift, and donating one to the Museum Flora Wing checks it off the Void Forage set — worth doing early so you never have to make a special trip back just for the donation. Voidite was added to the game in the v0.15.0 update, so very old guides may not mention it at all.
